Press release: Public dismissal on rumours 15 – 08 – 23
The annual anarchist book fair in Stockholm took place at Solidaritetshuset the 21st of august. It was an anarchistic day filled with lectures, workshops and presentations on different projects which touched upon different kind of principles used within the anarchist ideology. Sadly enough it came to our attention that negative rumours about the event have circulated for a time.
We would like to dismiss this.
These rumours have concerned documentation of activists, collaboration with the police and a press release on repudiation of other groups on the left.
The anarchist book fair consists of an assembly of leftist oriented individuals who have been politically active for a longer time. We are guided by ideological values and our goal is to create a space in which the anarchism can develop and be enriched by those who believe in the ideology.
It would be unthinkable to us to work against this with the states own repressive institutions. We wish to see and experience an including and solidaric movement which allows our comrades to feel trust to, and exist for, each other.
We would also like to announce that we have never written a press release about repudiations from groups on the left. Our main channels are both facebook, the homepage and our twitter-account. Our official press releases are published there.
The concerned press release which is mentioned is not official and therefore false. Any press release is voted for with consensus.
The book fair is a collective we, and not a single I.

Pressmeddelande: dementi om rykten 15 – 08 – 23
Den årliga Anarkistiska Bokmässan i Stockholm ägde rum i Solidaritetshuset den 21 augusti. Det var en anarkistisk dag fylld av föreläsningar, workshops och presentationer om olika projekt som berörde olika principer som används inom anarkismen som ideologi. Tyvärr blev vi uppmärksammade om att tråkiga rykten om evenemanget har florerat under en längre tid.
Bland annat har dessa rykten berört dokumentation av aktivister, polissamarbete och ett pressmeddelande om att ta avstånd från vänstergrupper.
Vi vill dementera detta.
Anarkistiska Bokmässan består av en samling vänsterorienterade individer som har varit politiskt aktiva under en längre period. Vi drivs av ideologiska värderingar och har som mål att skapa ett utrymme där anarkismen kan utvecklas och berikas av människor som tror på ideologin.
För oss vore det otänkbart att motarbeta detta med statens egna inhemska våldsapparat. Vi önskar att se och uppleva en inkluderande och solidarisk rörelse som tillåter våra kamrater att känna tillit till, och finnas till för, varandra.
Vi vill även meddela att vi har aldrig skrivit ett pressmeddelande om att ta avstånd från vänstergrupper. Vår huvudsakliga kanal är både facebook, hemsidan och vårt twitter-konto. Våra officiella pressmeddelanden publiceras där.
Det berörda pressmeddelandet som nämns är inte officiellt och därmed falskt. Våra pressmeddelanden röstas fram med konsensus.
Bokmässan är ett vi, och inte ett enskilt jag.
Vi hoppas på en bättre, inkluderande och solidarisk bokmässa tills nästa år.
